In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Whisky Magazine is partnering with Rothes Glen, The Luxury Castle for Whisky Connoisseurs, to offer two all-inclusive whisky experiences in Speyside during 2024.

The summer weekend takes place on 27–30th June 2024 and the winter experience from 21–24 November 2024. The owner of Rothes Glen and Whisky Magazine, Damian Riley-Smith, invites whisky lovers to stay in this picture-perfect castle in the heart of Speyside to enjoy the ultimate whisky experience.

With stunning views of the glen and convenient proximity to Inverness and Aberdeen airports, Rothes Glen provides a sanctuary for those seeking the finest whisky experiences. With space limited to just 28 guests on each weekend, the intimate setting gives the chance to share unforgettable moments with fellow whisky enthusiasts.

Rothes Glen is a Highland castle near the town of Rothes, built in 1893 by renowned whisky architect Charles Chree Doig and immaculately renovated by current owners Damian and Pippa Riley-Smith. Nestled in 11 acres of picturesque grounds, with 14 opulent en suite bedrooms, this enchanting castle is a haven of luxury and refinement. Its grandeur is further enhanced by its magnificent drawing room, the dining room is the perfect setting for indulging in sumptuous meals, and the breakfast room offers a delightful start to the day. The library beckons with its shelves lined with literary treasures and the snooker room provides entertainment for those with a competitive spirit. The tasting room offers a chance to savour the finest spirits and wines, while the whisky vault is a haven for connoisseurs, housing an impressive collection of rare and aged whiskies. The tower room offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and outdoor terraces invite guests to get closer to the beautiful grounds, while heated kennels ensure that furry companions are well taken care of. With its charming lochan and serene atmosphere, the castle is a sanctuary of elegance and tranquillity.

At Rothes Glen, The Luxury Castle for Whisky Connoisseurs, the dedicated local team meticulously takes care of every detail. During the Ultimate Whisky Experience, guests can indulge in a unique dining experience led by the castle’s award-winning chef, who creates culinary masterpieces using the finest local and seasonal ingredients. The manager will ensure that every aspect of the experience is tailored to perfection. The attentive housekeepers maintain the castle’s immaculate condition and provide daily service while the rest of the team is on hand to organise activities.

Whether a seasoned whisky connoisseur or just beginning to explore the world of whisky, this ultimate whisky experience will leave guests with lasting memories.
