Rothes Glen has 14 king-size en suite bedrooms including one accessible bedroom suite, a stunning drawing room and dining room, breakfast room, library, snooker room, tasting room, whisky vault and tower room. Located in Speyside with views down the glen, the castle is surrounded by 11 acres of grounds and has its own idyllic lochan. The castle has plenty of outdoor terraces, heated kennels and sporting rooms to ensure you can enjoy the best of Speyside’s magnificent scenery.

The Estate
Cherry Tree Entrance
The gardens and grounds of Rothes Glen are extensive, private, and have been lovingly restored since we bought the castle in 2019. Rothes Glen is accessed via a long driveway lined with cherry trees and is surrounded by formal gardens, a scenic meadow, and a private lochan. The formal, private gardens include a terrace rose garden, mosaic topiary garden and extensive lawns for croquet, games or relaxing on one of our sun loungers.
Scenic Gardens
Enjoy alfresco dining or barbecues on our terrace with a fountain and firepit, or explore the formal gardens, bordered by a beech hedge. Stroll to the meadow and lochan, or spot local wildlife like ospreys and red squirrels. Rothes Glen’s gardens bloom year-round, from spring’s snowdrops to summer’s rhododendrons, reflecting the grandeur of the estate and the beauty of the Speyside landscape.

There are 14 large ensuite bedrooms over the first and second floors and on the ground floor 2 formal drawing rooms and 2 dining rooms as well as a snooker room, tasting room and vault and finally the tower room on the third floor.

The Bedrooms
Unrivalled Comfort
Our 14 ensuite king sized bedrooms have been fully refurbished and are marvellously generous in size. Each bedroom is different and has been lovingly decorated to reflect the character of the house. Every bedroom has a king sized bed, crisp cotton sheets and goose down bedding and an abundance of fluffy white towels, bath robes and toiletries. We supply a crystal decanter and glasses to enjoy your complimentary whisky and snacks so whether youre in a four poster or velvet sleigh bed a good nights sleep is inevitable.
Locally-sourced Furnishing
Everything you see at Rothes Glen has been bought locally from an array of antique dealers, auctioneers and retailers from the tapestries and oil paintings to furniture and snooker table and our beautiful bespoke tasting table was commissioned from a specialist barrell maker high in the Cabrach Hills. Curtains, throws and tartan rugs are either original or bought from nearby Johnstons of Elgin always reminding you of the colours of Speyside.
