Castle Prices and Availability
Extensively refurbished from 2020 to 2022, Rothes Glen is a luxury, exclusive-use castle sleeping up to 28 guests providing traditional Highland hospitality. There are new fixtures and fittings throughout the castle, including a magnificent family kitchen; natural fires and stoves in four ground floor rooms; Wi-Fi in all rooms; and replumbing and rewiring of the whole property. During your stay at Rothes Glen you can enjoy a wide selection of indoor and outdoor games throughout the gardens and grounds, which extend to 11 acres and include a private lochan with rowing boat, rose terrace and fountain terrace. There is a helicopter landing area in the front meadow.
The 14 king-size bedrooms are en suite, and all the large bathrooms have underfloor heating, heated towel rails, showers and baths. The inner courtyard includes extensive seating, a barbeque and table tennis, which leads to the stores, kennels, walk-in cold room, woodshed, golf, fishing and gun rooms. The dining room, drawing room (with baby grand piano), library, ballroom (with full-size snooker table) and tasting room have all been redecorated and refurnished, and their fine-panelled ceilings and fireplaces have all been restored. The tower room has been extensively refurbished and converted into a whisky observatory.

On Christmas Day and Boxing Day, we aim to allow both days off for our chef, hospitality and housekeeping team. All food is prepared in advance so all you have to do is pop it in the oven or remove it from the fridge. We have an accessible suite on the ground floor if required – please ask the General Manager for further details.
A range of menus are available; prices for 2023 are a 2-course lunch at £69 per head, a 3-course dinner at £110 per head or a 5-course dinner at £159 per head. Personal service to buy drinks from the house whisky collection, served by the dram or in 100ml decanters. We offer an extensive range of spirits, wines, beers, Champagne and soft drinks. We can source a comprehensive range of additional activities which are charged.
