Fishing Experience
The Luxury Castle for Whisky Connoisseurs
Cast away
We can arrange salmon fishing within easy reach of Rothes Glen on some of the finest beats on the Spey, including Arndilly, Ballindalloch, Carron, Craigellachie, Delfur, Gordon Castle, Kincardine, Kinermony, Knockando, Orton, Tulchan and Wester Elchies. Salmon and trout fishing on the Findhorn is especially popular, with beats on the Altyre, Logie and Moray Estates.
Out to sea
With the Moray Firth coast just 10 miles north of Rothes Glen, there are sea fishing options both east and west of Elgin. You can fish from the mouth of the Spey, and can take fishing charters. Fish commonly caught are cod, ling, mackerel, flat fish, pollack, coalie, wrasse and scorpion fish. The Scottish sporting calendar season allows sea fishing throughout the year – the only limit is the weather.
